Girls Day Out Sunday February 19

GIRLS DAY OUT TO TAKE OVER NIB STADIUM

Next Sunday morning will see nib Stadium filled with 100 young female football fans as Football West conducts the Bankwest Girls Day Out.

Football for young girls is Australia’s fastest growing sport and Football West intends to continue this phenomenon with this exciting initiative aimed at providing local female players with the opportunity to meet their heroes at the same time as kicking a ball on the hallowed pitch of nib Stadium.

Local Westfield Matildas Kate Gill and Sam Kerr will be in attendance to take small sided football sessions, answer questions and meet their fans. Fellow Perth Glory Women and National Training Centre staff and players will also be present.

A special bonus for the day will be when Westfield Matildas coach Tom Sermanni is ‘mic’d up’ giving young girls the chance to get tips from the National boss. The Healthway Smarter than Smoking blow up goals will also be present with skills clinics taking place and player prizes up for grabs.

Limited to the first 100 girls who register, the day is free to attend and is open to all ages. Lunch will be provided to participants on the day.

The Bankwest Girls Day Out is also supported by Healthway, Smarter than Smoking and nib Stadium.
