Football West’s Girls NTC squad will be hoping to make an impact at this year’s NTC Challenge at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra, according to coach Jamie Harnwell.
Report by Hudson Herron
“The squad and staff are looking forward to this year’s Girls NTC Challenge,” Harnwell said.
“We have been working hard over the past couple of months to build up to this occasion and we are looking to be a competitive team across the tournament.
“Women’s football in WA continues to grow and this is an opportunity to measure our development against the other States and provide us with a yardstick to continue working towards.
“Individually for these players it is also a chance to shine in front of the coaching staff of the various Australian teams.”
This year’s team boasts five girls who all played in the 2012 tournament, including Perth Glory Women youngster Sarah Carroll.
