Girls in the U13 and U15 teams have had solid preparation in the lead up to the tournament, which involves the best female players from around the country.
Football West Technical Director Cris Ola expected both teams to perform well at the National Youth Championships, which concludes on Friday.
“We are continuing to produce a number of very promising young players at a time when women’s football is growing around the country,” Ola said.
“The U13 and U15 girls have trained very well and they are all extremely enthusiastic about measuring themselves against the other states.
“The upcoming Rio Olympics, which will feature the Australian national women’s team, will give our young players further motivation to continue to strive to reach their potential.
“The success of the Matildas in recent years is definitely inspiring more girls to take up the sport.”
