Two Fremantle players are playing for the Australian team early next year in an International Tournament.
The WA State Schoolgirls team that won silver this year at the National Championships
Emma Neville (18), is a product of the East Fremantle Soccer system. Along with Zoe Andrijic, 17, from Fremantle United (Women’s Metro Division 1 Champions), the pair are travelling to the UK with the Australian School Girls Team in January.
A long history of selection in development programmes since the age of 10, has honed Emma’s technical ability into the silky skilled young player she is today. In the Football West programmes, Emma has been part of the Girls Soccer Academy, National Training Centre squad, and National NTC Challenge. She has worked with Perth Glory players and under Glory Coach Jamie Harnwell.
In the School system, Emma has been part of the John Curtin Soccer School with Peter Rickers and played State Team in the National Championships. This year the School Team won silver. Other regular faces in the WA School Team include Evie Marchetti (also All Australian AFL player), Steph Simmonds (former Australian player), Manon Gabauer (all rounder and goalkeeper).
Emma has played Premier League football from an early age and also represented the State Indoor Football Team. Last year Emma was playing with East Fremantle, who won the State league Division One Night Series.
Zoe (17) is also a student of the John Curtin High School soccer programme. A strong, balanced footballer, Zoe started as a filler in her older brothers Beeliar team at 6 years of age. Ten years later we can add Fremantle Spirit, Cockburn women’s Metropolitan Division One Champions Fremantle United to her portfolio. With the joint venture between East Fremantle SC and Fremantle United to become Fremantle City, Zoe could be playing Women’s State league football in 2015 at the age of 17.

Besides Fremantle City, two new clubs enter the Series: Bassendean and Wanneroo.
If anyone would like to help with fundraising for the girls, the families are working hard to get the budget supported for the big trip. Contact Emma’s Mum Leanne on 0407 109 052.
Good luck to the girls and the Australian Team!
