WA gets first synthetic pitches
WA’s first synthetic football pitches will be unveiled on Sunday when Beckenham Angels take on East Fremantle in a Bankwest Women’s State League Premier Division match.

Beckenham will return to the Mills Park venue, which is part of a $47 million redevelopment of the precinct, after temporary relocation to Sutherlands Park.
The City of Gosnells Mayor Olwen Searle will launch the first football match at the venue, which is a key part of the new redeveloped recreational space.
Women’s State League Premier players Shannon May, Ella Mastrantonio and Marianna Tabain will be part of the official “first kick” at 9am before lining up against East Fremantle in their first home game at 3pm.
The City of Gosnells Mills Park redevelopment, includes a six-star Green Community Centre with cafe, nature play area, skate plaza and extensive sporting facilities.
