Arguably the biggest club signing for 2014 comes in the form of ex Matildas and Perth Glory W – League coach Nicola Williams. Nicola joins the club in the position of youth team coach (18’s).

Club president Bill Busby is over the moon on the appointment and understanding Nicola’s credentials jokingly put the rest of his senior coaching team on notice, ‘to have someone of Nicola’s experience is fantastic and we all look forward to working with Nicola in helping her continued development as a coach as well as her helping us with our ambitions of being a recognised pathway for top young players’.

Nicola is one of very few in the state whom hold an Asian Football Confederation ‘A’ coaching accreditation. She was Head Coach of Australian W-League team Perth Glory in their 2008-2009 inaugural season, other roles have included assistant coach of the National Young Matildas U20 team following her role as the head coach of the Australian Girls U13 team in 2010.

Nicola continues to also apply her trade as a player for 2013 women’s State League champions Northern Redbacks.
