Sam Kerr back in the Matildas
Attacking midfielder Samantha Kerr is in line to make her first Matilda’s appearance in a year after being included in coach Tom Sermanni’s squad for this month’s tour of North America. Kerr, a key member of Australia’s 2010 Women’s Asian Cup winning team, has missed much of the past 12-months following a knee reconstruction. Fellow West Au
stralian’s Collette McCallum and Lisa De Vanna are also in the 20-player squad, however, goalkeeper Lydia Williams has been omitted due to a knee injury.

The Matilda’s squad for their 12-day North American tour is Teigen Allen, Laura Alleway, Mackenzie Arnold, Danielle Brogan, Ashley Brown, Stephanie Catley, Brianna Davey, Lisa De Vanna, Caitlin Foord, Emily Gielnik, Kate Gill, Michelle Heyman, Alanna Kennedy, Sam Kerr, Collette McCallum, Clare Polkinghorne, Kyah Simon, Servet Uzunlar, Emily van Egmond and Sarah Walsh. Australia will play Haiti on 13 September before facing a two-game series with the United States of America, on 16th and 19th September.
