WA State Junior Futsal teams returned from a testing week at the National Championships in Sydney with a spring in their step and their heads held high.
The four WA teams were put through their paces against the country’s best teams in a week-long tournament.
Football West Development Officer Garry Church, who travelled with the group, said WA players had performed admirably in a competition that exposed them to the highest possible standards.
“The whole week was a fantastic experience for the players,” Church said. “They were all extremely competitive overall and walked away from the tournament with invaluable experience.
“This is the second year we’ve taken teams across for the National Futsal Championships and I expect we’ll continue to get stronger as our players experience this level of quality more often.”
