Sarah Kenny, Maddison Schofield, Shauni Reid and Melissa Shepherd have been involved in Football West’s National Training Centre since 2012 and have all represented WA at national level.
Schofield will return to Barton Community College in Great Bend, Kansas City where she completed the first part of the year under a softball scholarship.
Kenny will return to California Baptist University after spending the college break back in Perth, playing for Football West’s NTC U19 team in the Bankwest Women’s State League.
Reid and Shepherd will start their journeys at Tyler Texas Junior College and Indian Hills Community College, respectively.
Football West NTC U19 coach Jessine Bonzas credited the elite development program’s role in helping shape the girls’ football journeys.
“The NTC players who come through the program are well prepared as players and people for the next level of the elite player pathway,” she said.
“They have the technical and tactical foundation but also the life skills like leadership, team work, cooperation, communication required to move overseas to pursue their football, academic and life goals.
“All four players have been instrumental over the years and I’d like to thank them for their dedication and commitment.
“Personally and on behalf of the NTC program we wish these players all the best of luck as they chase their dreams aboard.”
