The WA women’s team are one of 3 women’s teams representing Australia at The World Masters Games Italy in August 2013. The Games are only held once every four years and are in the top four of the largest sporting events in the world along with the Olympics, Commonwealth Games and Maccabiah Games (go Melville City defender Laura Waltman!).

The WA Masters team is the most successful team that has competed in any Australian sporting event in the last 20 years. It has won more bronze, silver and gold medals than any other team across Australia. The team won gold at the Pan Pacific Masters on the Gold Coast in 2012- their fifth gold medal since 1994.

The squad travelling to Italy is:
Penny Tanner Hoath (Melville City Premier), Di Reeves (Leeming Division 1), Tina Glasson and Sylvia Jenkins (Mandurah Metro), Mhairi Glover, Wendy Peace, Mandy Laing, Sandra Szopski, Kerry Henry (Subiaco State League Division 1 and Metro), Elaine Anderson, Jayne Spalding, Lorraine Connop, Janet Robins (Hay Park), Shea Parker (Capel Wolves), Deb Farrell (Bunbury Dynamos and Force).

The team boasts media personalities, former state and national representatives and current coaching staff across a range of leagues.

The teams budget is $120,000.00
So far we have raised $20,000.00
Our auction target is $10,000.00 to pay for our kit and support crew
