The Northern Redbacks have beaten UWA-Nedlands in a fairly even game at Celebration Park.
The game was even in the first half with neither side being able to break the deadlock before half time.
In the second half, the Redbacks managed to get on top of UWA-Nedlands and scored two goals in the last 25 minutes of the game to record their fourth win of the season.
Carla Bennett and Jacqueline Nellany scored the goals for the contenders, as UWA-Nedlands stay down the bottom end of the ladder.
The Northern Redbacks get the bye next week, while UWA-Nedlands take on Queens Park.

Queens Park has recorded a big win over the struggling NTC.
A 4-0 win to Queens Park came after a slow start for both sides.
Once Queens Park managed to score their first goal, they calmed down and continued their dominance.
Emily Dean, Timira Rowatt and Monique Gordon scored the goals for Queens Park.
Gordon scored two of the four goals after coming back from suspension, with one of the goals being beautifully set up by Woodfin who came on as a substitute.
The NTC tackle Balcatta next week, while Queens Park take on UWA-Nedlands.

The Beckenham have claimed top spot on the ladder after a 7-2 demolition of Balcatta at Grindleford Reserve.
Balcatta started well kicking the opening two goals of the match inside the first 20 minutes, with Hazel Barton and Bec Di Carlo put the ball in the net.
The tides soon turned when Dani Calautti scored a remarkable hat-trick in just eight minutes to put the Angels ahead 3-2 at half time.
The run continued in the second half as the goals came from Andrea Preiato and Danielle Jeans, while Lindsey Jobling scored two.
Balcatta take on the NTC next week at Grindleford Reserve, while Beckenham tackles East Fremantle.
