Note on promotion and relegation from the State League:
There is no relegation from the State League division 1 or promotion from Metropolitan competitions to the State League unless a club applies from the Metro Competition or a club is unable to fulfill its State League commitments.
These are some of the factors that are considered by Football West and the Women’s Standing Committee in admitting a new team to the State League:
The team of the club applying has won the Metro Division One in the most recent Football West season,
The club has other women’s teams that show it can easily support the two teams required in State League, such as Junior teams and other Metro teams,
Location and proximity to other clubs,
Strong committee support.
